403rd Brigade has new commander

MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA) — Colonel Ted B. Dumosmog relinquished duties as the commander of the  Philippine Army’s  403rd Brigade to Colonel Michele B. Anayron Jr., during the change of command ceremony  here,  January 23 . A change of command is a military tradition that represents a transfer of authority and responsibility for a unit or command. The history, tradition, and accomplishments of the command are embodied in the colors.  The passing of colors from an outgoing to an incoming commander  represent s  keeping trust and leadership, as well as soldiers' allegiance to their unit's commander.   Major General Wilbur C. DOST installs Citronella distillation facility in Malitbog, Bukidnon

MALITBOG, Bukidnon (PIA)—The Department of Science and Technology (DOST), in partnership with the local government unit (LGU), recently installed a citronella facility for Higaonon farmers in Sitio Impahanong, San Luis, Malitbog, Bukidnon. DOST Bukidnon Provincial Director Ritchie Mae L. Guno said this aims to provide farmers with an alternative source of income by producing citronella oil, a natural insect repellent commonly used in candles, lotions, and sprays.  This intervention comes with product development, user-guided training, business and organizational management, and market-matching opportunities provided by the department's Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) program. PhilHealth ensures 105 ex-NPA rebels’ access to medical care

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon (PIA)--One hundred five former rebels of the New People's Army (NPA) in Valencia City are now members of PhilHealth after receiving their Member Data Records (MDRs) and ID cards. Delio A. Aseron, regional vice president for PhilHealth Northern Mindanao, said government programs should be equitably delivered to every Filipino. “You, our brothers and sisters—the former rebels—are our important guests here today. PhilHealth seeks to exemplify that we are one and equal,” he said during MDRs and ID cards distribution at Valencia City gymnasium, January 11. DTI-Bukidnon urges service, repair shops to renew accreditation

MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA)--The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bukidnon office calls all Service and Repair Enterprises (SREs) in the province to renew their accreditation. Junar B. Merla, Chief of the Consumer Protection Division, emphasized that applications for those whose accreditation expired on December 31, 2022, will be accepted until January 31, 2023. “As mandated by Presidential Decree No. 1572, all enterprises and technical personnel employed therein engaged in the service and repair of motor vehicles, heavy equipment, engines and engineering works; electronics, electrical, air-conditioning and refrigeration; office equipment; medical and dental equipment; and other consumer industrial electro-mechanical, chemical and gaseous equipment, machinery appliances or devices, shall apply for accreditation with the Department of Trade and Industry and shall apply for renewal on or before the 31st day of January of every year thereafter,” he said. DA-10 leads soybean harvest in Maramag town

MARAMAG, Bukidnon (PIA) — The Department of Agriculture in Region 10 (DA-10) led the soybean harvest recently in Barangay Base Camp, Maramag, Bukidnon. Carlene Collado , DA-10 OIC  Regional Executive Director ,   said t he crop harvesting started after the Department distributed more than 300 kilos of Manchurian soybean seeds to 15 village farmers. The effort he said aims to boost farmers’ income and contribute to the poultry and livestock sector  thr ough  local production of quality feed ingredients, under DA Memo   Order No. 15 of 2021.
