PWDs get ₱250K in livelihood aid from DOLE-Bukidnon

MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA)--As part of its year-round turnover of livelihood grants to marginalized and disadvantaged informal workers in the province, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 thru Provincial Director Raul Valmores of Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (BukPFO), recently turned over livelihood assistance--with Abag Kalambuan Inc. (AKI) as the Accredited Co-Partner (ACP)--to Sinanglanan Parents and Persons with Disability Association (SiPaPDA).   The SiPaPDA, which consists of 21 parents and persons with disabilities (PWDs), chose Agrivet and Farm Supply as their livelihood project in the amount of P250,000 from the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).   Valmores said that through the DILP, the Department took various endeavors to help integrate marginalized and disadvantaged informal workers, including PWDs, into the mainstream and enable them to participate in its social and economic development.   Valmores also acknowledged Malaybalay local government and its

MALAYBALAY CITY--The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10, through its Bukidnon Provincial Field Office (Buk PFO), recently conducted a learning session for Workers in the Informal Sector in line with the 2023 Labor Day commemoration.   The activity aims to provide and aid the workers in the informal sector under the Labor Day theme, "Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho Para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.”   DOLE-10 BukPFO Provincial Director Raul L. DA-RCPC 10 benchmarks LAMP in Western Visayas

MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon (PIA)--The Department of Agriculture-Regional Crop Protection Center (DA-RCPC)-10 recently conducted a benchmarking on Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) technique in DA-RCPC Region 6 in Jaro, Iloilo City.   The Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) granted DA-10 P5 million worth of funding to establish a Plant Health Hub (PHH) facility in Barangay Bangcud, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.   Considering that LAMP is part of the new PHH facility in NorMin, DA-RFO 10 Regional Executive Director Carlene C. Collado sent the team headed by DA-RCPC 10 chief Lucille T. Undersecretary Vidal Villanueva III, TESDA’s Deputy Director-General for Special Concerns, dealt with the audience and emphasized the agency's commitment to the program. “PBBM Cares seeks to gather all government agencies to assist the underemployed and unemployed, particularly the underprivileged residents here in Bukidnon," he said. DOST deploys drones to reforest Bukidnon's Mt. Kalatungan

Cleopas  PANGANTUCAN, Bukidnon (PIA)--The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-10, in collaboration with Galansiyang Inc., launched a reforestation project in a 4-hectare area at Mt. Kalatungan Range, Pangantucan, Bukidnon on May 31. The project showcases the use of drones for planting tree embryos, also known as "seed balls," coated with soil and organic manure. These seed balls are loaded into the drone container and dispersed in the target area at Mt. Kalatungan. Ritchie Mae L. Guno, DOST-Bukidnon provincial director, explained that the project aims to demonstrate the use of drone technology for reforestation and provide a glimpse into the future of tree planting. "This 'Project Tanom and Project Lantaw' marks the beginning of DOST's efforts in advanced reforestation technology.
