Bukidnon rescuers showcase skills in 4th Rescue Olympics

Epan MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA)--Rescuers from the local disaster stations in 20 towns and two cities of Bukidnon played their roles in the week-long 4th Rescue Olympics hosted by the provincial government through its Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). Governor Rogelio Neil Roque led the opening ceremony on July 17. He underscored the event's relevance in honing skills. "To the strong men and women from various local disaster stations in the province, your roles in fostering readiness for disaster response are crucial. OCD-NorMin hones rescuers’ skills to save more lives

Cleopas IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon (PIA)--The Office of Civil Defense (OCD-10) honored more than 80 rescuers and responders from various provinces in Northern Mindanao after completing the rigorous Community First Responders Training Course held at the National Fire Training Institute-satellite campus in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon. Aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in providing quick and systematic responses during disaster situations, the training course ensued in collaboration with the Regional Disasters Risk Reduction and Management (RDRRM) Council. NorMin rice farmers receive P45M in cash cards from DA

Balistoy   MALAYBALAY CITY (PIA)--To provide substantial support to the rice farming community, the Department of Agriculture (DA) has joined forces with the Universal Storefront Services Corporation (USSC) in distributing 8,988 Farmers Interventions Monitoring Cards (FIMCs) to qualified rice farmers in Northern Mindanao.   DA-10 Regional Director Carlene Collado said the turnover of FMICs by USSC Area Manager William Parantar on June 27 marks a significant milestone in streamlining the distribution process of nearly P45 million Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA).   "The Rice Tariffication Law gives P5,000 financial assistance to rice farmers tilling two hectares and below until 2024. These FMICs serve as an identification card and a cash card, enabling farmers to access financial assistance and other agricultural interventions,” Collado said.   With the cash cards, he said farmers can now conveniently receive the RFFA funds directly deposited into their
